White Fragility Book Study—Wednesdays September 22-October 27

posted in: Race, Uncategorized | 0

We will be conducting the White Fragility book study starting Wednesday, September 22, 6:30 -8:00 p.m. and each Wednesday through October 27th.

Your leaders for this study will be Amy DeGurian, Professs of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh, LaVerna Fountain, Staff Member for Columbia University and leader in Sacred Listening Sessions and Dave Smith, Community Organizer and Community Building Specialist. Each of us look at this as an opportunity to look at systematic racism and how we all contribute to keeping it in place. The studies we have done have laid ground for honest and frank discussion and called all of us think, live and respond differently to each other.

Please purchase the book and read two chapters prior to each of our meetings. A Zoom link will be sent out one week and the day before each study.

Come prepared to share, grow and challenge yourself. This has been a very powerful experience for this who have been a part of previous studies. We look forward to having you on board.

To register, send a message to Dave Smith at bdavidsmith2@gmail.com.

Please call if you have questions- 717-371-1516.
