Permanent Vote-by-Mail List Applications Being Sent Out Now

From Common Cause (http://www.commoncause.org):

Keep an eye out — some Pennsylvanians may be receiving a vote-by-mail application in the mail this week.

You should be getting an application in your mailbox if you signed up for something called a “permanent vote-by-mail list” when you applied for your mail-in ballot last year — a convenient feature of our state’s new vote-by-mail system.

If you’re on the “permanent list”, you can have ballots automatically sent to you for every election in a particular year just by filling out a single ballot application (those applications should be sent at the beginning of each year, and this year’s was just mailed!)

Because voters may have opted in months ago, many Pennsylvanians may not remember signing up for the list — which could naturally lead to some confusion. But responding to the mailing is easy.

If you want to automatically receive ballots for this year’s elections, just fill out the ballot application (either the one mailed to you, or the online form) and return it to your county board of elections.

And, if you’ve decided you’d rather not be on the permanent vote-by-mail list, you can just fill out this form, which should remove you from the list and cancel all future ballot requests.

Additionally, if you didn’t sign up for the permanent list but are interested in joining, you can read more on the VotesPA website and sign up using this online form.
