Utility Shutoff Prohibition Continues Till September 17

From POWER (http://www.powerinterfaith.org/):

The Public Utility Commission (PUC) took a step to protect people struggling to pay utility bills. The PUC postponed a vote on lifting the moratorium on termination of regulated utility accounts until its September 17th Public Meeting. This means that the prohibition on shut-offs for regulated utilities remains in place until at least September 17th.  While we don’t know what will happen on the 17th, we do know that hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians will remain connected for at least three more weeks. We will continue fighting to ensure that the Commission develops an equitable plan to address utility debt that does not fall solely on low-income Pennsylvanians.

The Public Utility Law Project is looking for clients who have lost service / struggling to pay and would be willing to talk to reporters!

Finally, please distribute this Infographic with information about what to do if you cannot afford your utility service. (English and Spanish).
