Tell Our Senators to Take Bold Climate Action

From PennEnvironment (http://www.pennenvironment.org):

In the weeks ahead, Congress will be crafting what could be the most important climate legislation of our lifetimes.

But one Exxon lobbyist recently made clear that they view this as an opportunity to double down on fossil fuels.1

Tell our U.S. senators at https://actionnetwork.org/forms/tell-pres-biden-no-new-oil-and-gas-leases-on-public-lands-and-waters: Now isn’t the time to double down on fossil fuels. We need to act on climate.

The West is burning, heat waves are shattering temperature records, and we’re already experiencing catastrophic flooding. All of this is the result of manmade climate change.

There’s no time to lose.

The U.S. Senate has an opportunity to get us off fossil fuels and accelerate the transition to clean energy and transportation.

But polluting industries will be pushing hard to maintain the status quo. If we don’t rapidly reduce global warming emissions, the extreme weather we’re seeing today will only continue to get worse.

Tell your senators: Now is the time to take bold climate action.

Thank you for taking action.
