From Church World Service (http://www.churchworldservice.org):

It has been a difficult four years. The efforts of the Sanctuary Movement across organizations, faith communities and impacted immigrant leaders has had tremendous influence in the fight to stop deportations and keep families together.

As we prepare for the transition for the Biden-Harris administration, the struggle for liberation for those in Sanctuary continues. We are asking that President Biden immediately grant relief from deportation for all people claiming Sanctuary on Day One of his administration. Within this letter is an additional list of demands to ensure the new administration does everything they can to stop criminalizing immigrants, but to instead keep families together and protect people from deportation.

The demands in this letter come from our core values of our faith to welcome and love all people and from the first hand experience of Sanctuary leaders who have served as prophets in their own time to stand up for justice, compassion and equity.

Please add your name to this faith and lay leader sign on letter to show the power of Sanctuary leaders and faith communities joining together to demand liberation.
