Tell EPA Head that Stay on Methane Standards is Unacceptable

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) just issued an incredibly dangerous order for a two year delay on methane pollution standards that keep our kids healthy.

This is UNACCEPTABLE. Tell the EPA that they can’t rob our kids of the chance to grow up healthy at http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/o/51176/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=22764.

The EPA knows that freezing standards that cut oil and gas methane pollution puts our kids in danger – they admitted it. EPA’s official notice stated, “EPA believes that the environmental health or safety risk addressed by this action may have a disproportionate effect on children… Any impacts on children’s health caused by the delay in the rule will be limited, because the length of the proposed stay is limited.”

The attitude that two years of exposure to harmful pollution from the oil and gas industry is okay for children, or anyone else for that matter, is absolutely unacceptable.

SPEAK UP: Let EPA Administrator Pruitt know that the EPA methane stay is a direct assault on our health.

The head of the EPA is supposed to represent the best interests of the American people – not the worst actors in the oil and gas industry. Yet attacking vital methane pollution standards has always been part of Pruitt’s polluter agenda – he sued these same standards as Attorney General of Oklahoma. The only people benefitting from a freeze on EPA methane standards are corporate polluters and their allies.

ACT NOW: Tell Pruitt his actions are unacceptable.

Scott Pruitt knows he’s putting our families in danger. It’s time to let him know that his blatant decision to side with polluters instead of the American people is unacceptable.
