Tell Our Senators to Support GRACE Act for Compassionate Release from Incarceration

From Families Against Mandatory Minimums (http://famm.org/):

FAMM has been advocating tirelessly for a legislative fix to the federal government’s broken compassionate release process. We’re happy to announce that our call did not go unheard. Last week, Sens. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Mike Lee (R-Utah), and Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont) introduced the Granting Release and Compassion Effectively (GRACE) Act in Congress.

We need your help to make the GRACE Act law. Contact your U.S. senators TODAY and tell them to support this bill! Alternatively, you can call them directly—find contact information:

The GRACE Act would bring much-needed transparency and accountability to the compassionate release process. It would grant federal prisoners the ability to appeal the Bureau of Prisons’ inaction on or denials of compassionate release requests and allow families much greater access to their loved ones throughout the process.

Passing this bill would be a huge victory for the families of federal prisoners. Contact your U.S. Senators today. Tell them to support the GRACE Act and bring relief to families and prisoners suffering throughout our country!

Together we can improve a broken process for our most vulnerable families and prisoners. Thank you for your continued support of our work.

Please expedite this process and allow those given excessive sentences to be released .
I support this process for non violent offenders .
