SNAP recipients have been receiving extra payments (Emergency Allotments) throughout the pandemic. February 2023 will be the last month for Emergency Allotments. Starting in March the benefit amount is based on income and allowable expenses. February will be the last month for EAs even if the Public Health Emergency is extended.
The Coalition Against Hunger has created a flyer explaining this change that you may share with SNAP recipients. The flyer also details additional food resources. Just Harvest has adapted the flyer for broader use. Agencies can make their own version for outreach using this Canva Template.
