As you’ve likely seen in the news coming out of Afghanistan, when violence erupts, people flee with nothing but the clothes on their backs. I want you to know that CWS is deploying staff to Fort Lee to help process families that have already been evacuated and is standing by to assist once evacuations are able to resume.
In a week, we will gather a team of volunteers to assemble 1000 CWS Welcome Backpacks for refugees and asylum seekers. So far, supporters like you have donated enough to provide food and water for 819 backpacks. We need your help to fill the rest!
