“I Want Other Kids to Be Free to Play. And To Go To Kindergarten, Just Like Me.” Act Now

From Amnesty International USA (http://www.amnestyusa.org):

Carlos was locked up at the age of three. His crime? Being carried across the border in his Mom’s arms, running from threats at gunpoint.

Support from Amnesty activists — passionate people like you — helped us advocate to free Carlos, who spent nearly 700 days behind bars together with his mother, Lorena.*

Now that he’s freed, Carlos says, “I want other kids to be free to play. And to go to kindergarten, just like me.”

Hundreds of traumatized children — like Carlos — are still trapped in family detention—take action at https://act.amnestyusa.org/page/25820/action/1.

The Administration had until July 26th to reunite separated families with their children. Unfortunately, while some children have been reunited with their families, many are still separated. Even now, many families seeking safety are being housed in family detention centers.

Hold the administration accountable with us. The administration has missed the deadline to reunite separated families with their children, take action with us now.

We are outraged at the administration’s horrendous treatment of children — whose parents brought them to the US seeking protection from violence and persecution.

We can’t let up the pressure now. Please take action with us today to support these children at this very critical time.

Separating families goes against our beliefs.
