From Interfaith Power and Light (http://interfaithpowerandlight.org):

It appears that 2020 is going to be the most consequential election ever for our climate and the future of our planet.  Not only is there no time to wait – we are already suffering the impacts from supercharged storms like Category 5 Hurricane Dorian to extreme heat –  voters are increasingly naming climate change as a top concern.

Go to https://www.interfaithpowerandlight.org/voter-pledge-form/ to pledge to vote with climate and Creation in mind.

As people of faith and conscience we must speak out on behalf of the most vulnerable members of our society who are suffering the worst effects of climate change. In pledging to be Faith Climate Voters  we are putting love into action for every living creature and every vulnerable community suffering the devastation of climate change.

It’s time to vote with climate and Creation in mind.

Did you know that people who care about the state of our Earth are less likely to vote? In 2014, only 21% of environmental-minded registered voters went to the polls. That number doubled in the 2018 mid-term elections – 42%. Let’s keep that upward trajectory going!

Even if you are already a faithful climate voter, please sign the pledge! The more people who pledge to vote the easier it is to demonstrate the power of our constituency for action.
Please, take a minute to pledge today to vote with climate in mind.

In return, thanks to our partnership with the Environmental Voter Project, you will get free reminders with localized information so you can be sure to vote in each and every election – from city council to presidential.

Research shows that politicians only pay attention to issues that are important to people who vote consistently in every election. When people who care about the earth do not vote, or vote inconsistently, politicians do not prioritize their concerns. To make sure your voice is heard, pledge to vote with climate in mind, and we’ll remind you to get to the polls.
