From Common Cause (http://www.commoncause.org):
We’re just one week away from Pennsylvania’s 2021 municipal election — and we can’t sit this one out.
Next Tuesday, November 2nd, we have the chance to cast a ballot for the officials who make a major impact on our everyday lives — and there’s too much at stake to pass up that opportunity.
Our voices matter now more than ever. If you haven’t already cast your ballot, here’s how you can make your voice heard this election season.
Are you planning on voting with an absentee or vote-by-mail ballot?
If you’ve received your vote-by-mail ballot but haven’t had a chance to send it in… It’s too late to mail your ballot back, but you can drop it off at a secure drop box or your county elections office — find drop boxes in your county here!
Your vote by mail ballot must be dropped off by 8 PM on Election Day, November 2. You are the only one authorized to return your own ballot, no one else can return it for you.
If you haven’t received your ballot yet… After you’ve attempted to track your ballot, we recommend voting in-person. You can cast your ballot provisionally at your polling place.
If you’ve received your ballot but would rather vote in-person… You can vote at your assigned polling place — you’ll just have to bring your ballot and the envelope into the voting center with you and sign a declaration surrendering your ballot.
Planning on voting in-person?
Follow CDC guidelines when heading to the polls: Wear a mask and be prepared to wait in line while observing social distancing guidelines.
Check your polling place location before heading out to vote here.
Have any questions or problems voting, either by mail or in-person?
Call the nonpartisan “Election Protection Hotline”: Volunteers will be able to answer your questions. English-speaking voters can call 866-OUR-VOTE for assistance now. Help is also available in Spanish (888-VE-Y-VOTA), Arabic (844-YALLA-US) and Asian languages (888-API-VOTE).
It’s crucial that your family and friends have this information. You can play a critical role in ensuring that their ballots are counted in the November election. Be well and please reach out if you have any questions or suggestions.
Thank you for being a voter.
