Urge Your Rep to Cosponsor the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act

From the National Wildlife Federation (https://www.nwf.org/):

Last year some leaders in Washington, D.C., backed by special interests, took actions that harmed thousands of wildlife species already at risk of extinction from habitat loss, disease and a host of other challenges.

We’re working with supportive lawmakers and activists like you to fight back against these threats. And now, with the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act, we have a chance to deliver a real victory for wildlife.

This bill would dramatically boost state conservation programs, helping to reverse the crisis threatening one in three wildlife species in America today. And it’s supported by members of both parties!

Your representative still needs to add his/her name as a co-sponsor of this bill. Don’t wait until it’s too late — ask your representative to co-sponsor the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act!

Late last week, Congress held a hearing on the Act, which is excellent news. A hearing is one of the most important ways Congress learns about proposed laws. The fact that this is happening means they’re taking our advocacy seriously — and we need to seize this moment.

By acting now, we can end the current system that doesn’t direct enough funding towards preventing wildlife from becoming endangered. States now are receiving less than 5% of what is necessary to help our nation’s imperiled species.

You can make a difference for lynx, monarchs, native brook trout and other species in crisis, but you must act fast. Every day this bill doesn’t pass is another day that imperiled species aren’t protected.

Ask your representative to co-sponsor the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act today!

With your help, we can do this. Thank you.
