Urge Governor Wolf to Add Pennsylvania to the U.S. Climate Agreement

posted in: Environment, Uncategorized | 0

When President Trump moved to pull the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Agreement, Governors Cuomo (NY), Inslee (WA), and Brown (CA) formed the U.S. Climate Alliance, pledging to meet the goals that came out of the Paris talks. The Governors of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia joined them.

Pennsylvania ranks 6th among states in both population and GDP. Compared with national economies, its GDP ranks 19th, just ahead of Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Taiwan. By those two measures, it is the largest of the states with a Democratic governor missing from the U.S. Climate Alliance.

COP 23 is about to convene in Germany where world leaders will discuss the next steps after Paris.

Please take a moment to tell Governor Wolf to add Pennsylvania to the U.S. Climate Agreement at this important moment at https://petitions.moveon.org/sign/governor-wolf-add-pennsylvan.

And please ask the people in your networks to sign it, too.
