Urge Automakers to Support Clean Car Standards

From Interfaith Power and Light (http://interfaithpowerandlight.org):

Together with you, Interfaith Power & Light has been working diligently to support strong Clean Cars Standards for many years. The transportation sector is now the largest source of global warming pollution in the United States, and pollution from automobiles is a major source of the smog that jeopardizes the health of our brothers and sisters around the country.

IPL is gathering signatures of clergy and other faith leaders around the country on a petition to the CEOs of General Motors, Toyota, and Fiat Chrysler, asking them to publicly support the current Clean Cars Standards – this, after these auto manufacturers sided with the Administration in efforts to roll back these life-saving standards.

We are asking for your help.

First, go to https://salsa4.salsalabs.com/o/50836/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=26619 to sign on to a petition to the CEOs of General Motors, Toyota, and Fiat Chrysler.

Second, please share this petition through your network of clergy and faith leaders, so we can have a diverse group of signers from throughout the country.

Third, please pray for this effort in whatever way is most appropriate for your religious tradition. Rolling back these safeguards now will intensify the harm done to our children, our communities, and our common home.
