Tell Congress to Urge the Administration to Stop Separating Families, Detaining Children

From Amnesty International USA (http://www.amnestyusa.org):

This past week has been tough. We’ve seen the cruelty of the administration towards families seeking asylum in the US.

Children are taken from their parents at the border and put into government-run shelters, often hundreds of miles away from their parents, even when they had documentation proving their relationship to their children.

The administration signed an Executive Order last week that it claims would end family separation. Don’t be fooled: this order does nothing to end the policy of family separation or reunite the over 2,000 children who have been forcibly separated from their parents and doesn’t stop the policy of prosecuting families seeking safety.

The administration’s answer is to detain families in prolonged detention instead. That isn’t the answer.

Tell Congress to ask the administration to stop prying children from their parents’ arms and detaining them at https://act.amnestyusa.org/page/25820/action/1.
