From Faith in Public Life (http://www.faithinpubliclife.org):
As people of faith, we believe in the call to love our neighbor as ourselves and we recognize the inherent dignity of all. We work for justice as an act of faith.
Join us to call on the administration and the 117th Congress to advance our Faithful Agenda for the first 100 days at http://fpl.actionkit.com/sign/a-faithful-agenda.
Here are 5 ideals we want enshrined in law in the next three months:
- Compassionate, effective pandemic relief for all.
- Affirming Black lives and ending systemic racism.
- Justice and dignity for LGBTQ people.
- Dignity, family unity and citizenship for all immigrants.
- Building an inclusive democracy for all people.
We call on those in power, at every level, to honor these faith-rooted values by enacting policies that will contribute to the liberation of all people. We hold our government responsible to advance these values while fighting Christian white nationalism which incites violence across the country. And as people of faith, we recommit ourselves to engaging with our elected officials and communities to push for the common good.
Join our call by adding your name to our agenda now!
People of faith have a unique call to moral leadership. Now we must make sure that the people who make our laws are advancing solutions to meet the needs of our communities in the midst of unprecedented division, opposition to our values, and a pandemic that exposes structural injustice.
