Toolkit: Community Response to New Refugee and Muslim Ban Order

From the Interfaith Immigration Coalition (http://www.interfaithimmigration.org):

Now is the time to keep the action going!

The first version of the January 27th executive order to suspend the refugee resettlement program and ban the travel of individuals from 7 Muslim-majority countries for 90 days was stopped in its tracks by a successful litigation strategy and the incredible mobilizing effort of thousands of people. The shouts of “No Wall No Ban, Immigrants and Refugees Are Welcome Here” reverberated through more than thirty airports across the country and on every major news station. Additionally, more than 30 press conferences, actions and vigils in support of refugees and immigrants took place across the country (http://www.refugeesarewelcome.org/get-involved/).

Now the Trump administration is releasing a rewritten executive order against refugees and Muslims and we must once again mobilize and resist these unjust and discriminatory policies.

We are calling for community mobilizations at federal courthouses to stop the ban on refugees and Muslims.
