From Creation Justice Ministries (http://www.creationjustice.org/):

Representatives Meehan, Fitzpatrick and Costello were among the 11 Republicans with the courage to do the right thing. Call and say thanks:

A few days ago, the US House of Representatives voted to gut the Bureau of Land Management Natural Gas Waste Prevention Rule, which was finalized on November 30, 2016. The final vote tally was 221 in favor of gutting it, to 191 in favor of preserving it.

The drive to eliminate the rule is primarily an ideological one. Many Republicans are against the concept of having government regulations, even good ones. This BLM Natural Gas Waste Rule is projected to save taxpayers $330 million per year in royalty revenue, and eliminate millions of tons of dangerous methane pollution from the air. Methane pollution and related contaminants cause asthma and cancer, and imperil our climate.

Representatives Meehan, Fitzpatrick and Costello were among the 11 Republicans who voted to uphold the BLM Natural Gas Waste Prevention Rule. It is not an easy decision to break with party lines and do the right thing. Please call them and say “thank you for your courage to do the right thing by voting to uphold the BLM Natural Gas Waste Prevention Rule.”

If you use social media, please also thank them on their Facebook pages:
