Tell Gov. Wolf to Move Forward With Rule to Curb Methane Pollution

From the Clean Air Council (http://www.cleanair.org/):

With heat records breaking regularly and extreme weather becoming a norm in Pennsylvania and beyond, it’s critical our leaders take strong action now to address the climate crisis.

Unfortunately, the administration recently proposed to roll back critical air quality protections that control the potent greenhouse gas methane. These reckless rollbacks are a giveaway to the most polluting oil and gas companies and put Pennsylvania communities in jeopardy. Faced with these rollbacks, Governor Tom Wolf’s efforts to reduce methane and other climate pollutants are more important than ever.

The Pennsylvania natural gas industry is venting and leaking a whopping 520,000 tons of methane each year. Without swift action, unchecked methane pollution will continue to warm our planet with devastating consequences. Pennsylvania can expect to see increasingly warmer temperatures leading to additional air pollution, extreme weather events ranging from floods to droughts, decreased crop yields, and an alarming rise in vector-borne diseases such as Lyme disease.

Go to http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/o/51176/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=26506 to tell Governor Wolf to act on climate by moving forward with a rule that curbs climate-warming methane pollution from the tens of thousands of existing natural gas operations this fall.
