Tell Your US Representative to Support the NO BAN Act and End the Muslim Ban

From Church World Service (http://www.churchworldservice.org):

Today, June 26th, marks the two year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the administration’s xenophobic and racist refuge and Muslim ban. The expanded Muslim ban and African ban, issued on January 31, 2020, exacerbates the harm to communities and tears apart families. The National Origin-Based Antidiscrimination for Nonimmigrants Act (NO BAN Act, H.R.2214) would end the harmful refugee, Muslim, and asylum bans put in place by this administration and establish vital protections against future discriminatory bans.

Right now, the House of Representatives is considering whether to vote on the NO BAN Act, so it is a critical time to make your voice heard. Tell your Representative to bring the NO BAN Act for a vote – and vote YES on the NO BAN Act.

CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TODAY:
Go to https://greateras1.org/tell-your-representative-to-protect-refugees-and-support-the-no-ban-act/ to contact your Representative; alternatively, you can contact her/him directly—find contact information at http://www.house.gov.

Sample Email: “I’m your constituent from [CITY/TOWN], and [as a person of faith] I urge you to stand against discrimination and hate by urging House leadership to bring the NO BAN Act to a vote – and to vote YES to support the NO BAN Act (H.R.2214). This bill would ensure that no one is banned from our country based on religious or nationality-based discrimination. In the last three years, the administration has repeatedly tried to ban refugees, asylum seekers, and Muslim neighbors from the United States. My community is still feeling the negative impacts of these immoral and wrongful bans that continue to tear apart families. No one should be blocked from entering the country just because of their faith tradition or where they come from. My community welcomes refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants, and I urge you to do the same.”
