Tell Senator Toomey to Oppose the House-Passed Health Care Bill

Last week, Congress passed a bill that will raise costs, cut coverage and gut protections for people with preexisting conditions. Due to a flood of calls and emails from constituents, four Pennsylvania Republican Congressmen (Costello, Dent, Fitzpatrick & Meehan) voted against the bill. Unfortunately this wasn’t enough to stop it, but it shows that public pressure works.

Now the bill still has to pass the Senate. We need to make sure that our Senators know we won’t forget how they vote.

Please take a minute to call Senator Pat Toomey and tell him that Pennsylvanians want him to vote no to the AHCA. His Washington office number is 202-224-4254. Find numbers for Pennsylvania regional offices at https://www.toomey.senate.gov/?p=offices.

Better yet, please consider sending a letter to express your concerns, or arranging a meeting in one of the Senator’s offices. It is best to fax your letter (if to DC) or send it to a regional office so it is not delayed by security. Please contact Sandy Strauss at s.strauss@pachurches.org if you are interested in organizing a visit and would like help in doing so.
