Tell the President to Grant Clemency to Thousands Released from Prison on Home Confinement Under the CARES Act

From the Sentencing Project (http://www.sentencingproject.org):

At this moment, thousands of people safely completing their sentences at home are living in fear that they’ll be sent back to federal prison—through no fault of their own—due to a Trump-era memo. If the Biden administration doesn’t act to fix this, thousands of people will be separated from their families and re-incarcerated. This would be the fastest expansion of the federal prison population in history.

Act now to #KeepThemHome! Call the White House at 202-318-6610 and ask President Biden to grant clemency to people released on home confinement due to the CARES Act.

Here is a script you can use:

“Hi, my name is                                    and I’m calling to urge President Biden to grant clemency to the thousands of people released on home confinement under the CARES Act. These individuals are contributing members of their communities, trusted employees, and deeply loved family members that are relied upon. None of them were told they would have to go back, and they were all thoroughly vetted before transfer to home confinement. I urge President Biden to do everything in his power to address this issue by granting clemency. Thank you for your consideration.”

President Biden is going to oversee the return of thousands of people to overcrowded federal prisons—unless he acts now. Thank you for joining us in the fight to #KeepThemHome.
