Tell Your PA Representative: Leave Medicaid Alone!

From Project H.O.M.E. (http://www.projecthome.org):

We need you to take action now to protect Medicaid in Pennsylvania. HB59 is a bill that will do substantial harm through cuts & red tape to Pennsylvania’s Medicaid program if passed. It also opens the door to cuts in “nonessential” benefits including things like vision and physical therapy.

House Bill 59, the bad Medicaid Bill, passed out of the PA Senate (35-15) on July 27. Because it was amended with new cuts to Medicaid, it is going back to the PA House. We MUST to stop HB59 in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Tell them: NO Back-Door Cuts to Medicaid with New Layers of Red Tape!

PS – For many of us in Pennsylvania, Medicaid is also known as Keystone First, Health Partners, Aetna Bettter Health, or UnitedHealthcare Community Plan.

Act now at http://action.projecthome.org/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=1051.

I am a 70 year old widow, dependent on Medicare and I am concerned for all those unable to have healthcare. This is a great sin in a country as wealthy an ours. We should be ashamed of the situation that puts so many at risk. Is this how we want to deal with our poor and disabled??? Just let them die???
