Tell Our General Assembly to Support 100 by 50 Renewable Energy

From PennEnvironment (http://www.pennenvironment.org):

We recently hit an important milestone as we signed on our 100th cosponsor to Rep. Rabb and Sen. Killion’s legislation to transition PA to 100% renewable energy by 2050. But our work is far from over.

If you’re getting this alert, it means that your state legislator is not yet cosponsoring this crucial climate change bill. Email your legislators today at https://pennenvironment.webaction.org/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=33960 and ask them to join over 100 bipartisan legislators and cosponsor HB1425 and SB630.*

The movement for renewable energy is building across the nation with similar legislation having already passed in Hawaii, California, New Mexico, Washington, New York, and Maine.1

Tell your state legislator that you want Pennsylvania to be next.

Not only will more clean energy mean a better chance at maintaining a safe, livable climate, but it will also create jobs throughout the Commonwealth. There are already over 90,000 clean energy jobs throughout Pennsylvania and that number is growing every day. In fact, the clean energy sector is growing 5x faster than overall employment growth in the state.2

We need to pass this legislation to achieve what the scientific community has said we must do to avoid the worst effects of climate change: eliminate global warming pollution by 2050.

Tell your legislators to support HB1425/SB630.

Then share this alert with friends and family and ask them to do the same.

Thank you for supporting this movement for 100% renewable energy in Pennsylvania!
