In the midst of a national crisis, PA legislators are in Harrisburg, considering a special-interest bill, HB 564, that would increase out-of-pocket costs and surprise billing for dental care and incentivize dentists to leave insurance networks.
In the meantime, HB 1862, a bill that would put a stop to surprise medical bills in Pennsylvania hasn’t been moved to the PA House floor for a vote. This is of critical importance in a time when we don’t want people avoiding getting medical care for ANY REASON. We need relief from surprise medical bills immediately, in order to ensure people who seek testing or treatment for COVID-19 or any other illness are not faced with financial devastation or even bankruptcy from a surprise bill.
Please take a minute today to call your Representative in the PA House and ask them to put a stop to surprise medical bills by supporting HB 1862 and opposing any measure that increases surprise bills or out-of-pocket costs:
