The new year marks the start of a new legislative session in Harrisburg. Thankfully, the Family Care Act’s lead sponsors have hit the ground running in 2021: PA Senators Dan Laughlin and Maria Collett, along with PA Representatives Wendi Thomas and Dan Miller, recently announced their intention to reintroduce the Family Care Act legislation in the coming weeks.
They are currently circulating a cosponsor memorandum to their Senate and House colleagues, marking the beginning of a renewed effort to pass paid family and medical leave legislation at a time when Pennsylvanians need it more than ever.
