Bipartisan Gun Legislation Is Just the Beginning—Tell Your PA Elected Officials to Invest More in Gun Violence Solutions

From CeaseFirePA (http://www.ceasefirepa.org):

Lawmakers are making decisions right now about this year’s budget, and they need to hear from you. Given the refusal to pass meaningful gun violence prevention reforms, we expect and demand lawmakers to make historic investments, double or even triple what they’ve made in the past.

We need gun reform, but there’s no doubt that the financial investments we’ve worked to secure over the last few years are making an impact. These investments have been made directly to communities, via grants to local hospitals, law enforcement agencies, non profit organizations, and more.

Here’s the reality though. Some in power are counting on us to believe that the Bipartisan Safe Communities Act is enough legislative action to last the next few decades. We can’t allow that message take hold. Use your voice right now at https://ceasefirepa.salsalabs.org/220629Budget/index.html.

We’ve gotten Harrisburg lawmakers to invest $50 million so far toward community organizations and evidence-based solutions to disrupt cycles of gun violence. This year, the momentum we’ve created means a potential record level of investment, but only if we all speak up, right now.

Use your voice loudly. Take two minutes right now to reach out to your lawmaker to tell them where they need to stand.

Your political power could be the difference between lives saved and the next massacre.
