Tell EPA to Restore Clean Car Standards

From the Environmental Defense Fund (https://www.edf.org/):

As we approach Memorial Day and the start of the summer season, families will hit the road visiting the beautiful beaches, forests, and mountains across our nation. Traveling to these destinations reminds us of how beautiful our country can be when it remains unspoiled by harmful climate pollution.

Transportation is the largest source of climate pollution in the U.S. which is why we need our state and federal government to adopt stronger vehicle pollution standards to protect clean air across our nation. As we speak, the EPA is poised to reverse dangerous Trump policies that weaken states’ ability to adopt clean car standards — but they need your support.

Let’s tackle summer tailpipe pollution! Tell the EPA to restore state leadership on vehicle pollution regulation at https://act.edf.org/ayhuvli.

When states implement stronger transportation standards at the local level we’re able to reduce health-harming and climate pollution, cut fuel prices and drive innovation for zero-emission vehicles — protecting our environment for ourselves and future generations to come.

Before Trump’s attack on Clean Car Standards, 15 states had already adopted progressive policies to curb climate pollution from cars. The EPA’s decision to rescind the Trump policy that undermined these rights will be pivotal for these states and for the additional states looking to push ahead with more ambitious clean vehicle initiatives and go even further than the federal government.

Cleaning up our transportation system is critical to putting ourselves back on the path to reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. Urge the EPA to rescind dangerous Trump policies that hold us back!

Let’s get the U.S. back on track to protect clean air in our communities and help alleviate the ongoing climate crisis. Raise your voice and tell the EPA to reverse the previous administration’s harmful, illegal attack on state clean car standards!
