Protect Immigrant Youth—Tell Congress to Consider Dream Act Before Adjourning for Holidays

From the National Council of Churches (http://www.ncccusa.org):

In September President Trump announced that his administration will end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This program had protected immigrants who were brought to this country by their parents without documentation. Many of these “Dreamers” have contributed in vast ways to the U.S. economy and society. Ending DACA will punish them for a decision made by their parents.

Congress can fix this problem though by passing the DREAM Act. This bi-partisan legislation has broad support in both the House and Senate. But Congressional leadership has prioritized political point scoring over protect lives.

A new push is demanding Congress act before going home for the holidays. You can add your voice in support of the 800,000 people at risk. The time to act is now. Your Member of Congress needs to hear from you now while they are considering their vote. We need to join our voices together to tell Congress that we love our neighbors, and we cannot let them be harmed by partisan political games.
