Sign Letter, Tell Congress to Support Immigrants and Refugees in 4th Coronavirus Package

From Church World Service (http://www.churchworldservice.org):

Right now, Members of Congress are considering a fourth package of Coronavirus / COVID-19-related legislation. While we are grateful for measures Congress has taken to address the crisis, there remain unique challenges that refugees and immigrants face. Crises test who we are as a nation – and we are stronger when we are united, extend compassion to our neighbors, listen to public health experts, and resist medical prejudice and scapegoating. It is imperative that Members of Congress hear that their constituents want to see meaningful solutions that support all of our neighbors, including immigrant and refugee community members.

Here are the top two ways to take action:

Contact Your Senators and Representatives: Go to https://greateras1.org/take-action-urge-congress-to-support-immigrant-and-refugee-communities-in-next-covid-19-legislation/ to send an email to your Members of Congress urging them to support all of our neighbors, including refugees and immigrants. Alternatively, call directly–find contact information:

Faith Letter Sign On: Sign on to this important letter by COB Tuesday, April 14th to urge Congress and the administration to include immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers in all COVID-19 recovery plans. Faith leaders can sign on here and faith organizations can sign on here.

In addition, we are asking organizations to sign on to this letter by EOD Sunday, April 12th to urge Congress to prioritize resources for our refugee neighbors and ensure that all community members are able to mitigate risks to their vulnerability to COVID-19. Here are some additional resources:
