Urge Congress to Strengthen and Expand Medicare in Reconciliation Package

From the Juggernaut Project (https://juggernautproject.com/):

We can’t let Congress pass up this chance to transform our health care system for the better. Tell the House and Senate to include a plan for strengthening and expanding Medicare in a final reconciliation package at https://act.beaherofund.com/signup/ads_ms_BAH_jugg_202107_EA_CalCareAcq2_medicareexpansion!

No victory is too small on the road to make health care a human right — and right now, we have a real opportunity to expand coverage to millions of Americans.

Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Pramila Jayapal, alongside a broad coalition of Democrats, have been calling for a plan to strengthen and expand Medicare through the reconciliation process — a Senate procedure for certain budgetary bills that requires only 51 votes for passage instead of the usual 60.

They want to (1) lower the Medicare eligibility age from 65 to as low as possible, (2) expand Medicare to cover dental, vision, and hearing care in addition to an out-of-pocket cap, and (3) enable Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices for everyone. But we need to raise our voices now to make sure every congressional Democrat is with us on these top priorities before it’s too late.

Will you add your name to our petition calling on the House and Senate to include a bold plan for strengthening and expanding Medicare in the final reconciliation package?.

Last week, Senate Democrats reached a deal on strengthening Medicare benefits to finally cover hearing, dental, and vision. It does not, however, include the other priorities we’re fighting for. But it’s not a done deal — yet.

Medicare expansion will allow millions of Americans to access the high-quality care they need, and it’s incredibly popular among Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike. So we need to keep up the pressure on Congress to get this done:

Add your name to our petition calling on the House and Senate to go bold on strengthening and expanding Medicare as they work out a final reconciliation package.
