Stand Up for Refugee Vaccinations

A vaccine can change a life. As COVID-19 vaccines are rolling out in our own communities in the United States, we all understand just what those shots mean, what a difference they make.

And we must not forget about refugees.

The most vulnerable — those affected by conflict and insecurity — are at particular risk of being left behind in the COVID-19 recovery. Today, there are more than 79.5 million refugees and displaced people worldwide, and all of them need protection just like you and me. Many are at even greater risk due to their living conditions.

Many refugee families live in crowded refugee camps and settlements making social distancing virtually impossible. And on top of that, they have limited access to clean water, soap and medical care. By standing up for refugee vaccinations today, you can save lives.

As a compassionate supporter of refugees, we need you to lend your voice. Sign this petition at https://www.dailykos.com/campaigns/forms/sign-the-petition-equitable-access-to-covid-vaccines-for-refugees and declare that you believe that all must have access to vaccines, including refugees and displaced people.

It’s a public health, economic and moral imperative to ensure that forcibly displaced people are afforded equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines and treatments. No one is safe until everyone is safe.

Add your name today to stand up for refugees’ inclusion in national vaccine plans and to support health, safety and recovery for all.
