Sign On—Faith Leaders, Faith-Based Organizations: Oppose Family Separation, Incarceration

From the Interfaith Immigration Coalition (http://www.interfaithimmigration.org):

Right now, Congress is considering anti-immigrant, anti-family bills that would turn to family incarceration and rollback protections for the children in immigration detention and unaccompanied children. Long-term detention of mothers and children is not the solution to the trauma caused by family separation. So long as the administration detains, prosecutes, and deports parents, family separation will continue.

Faith Leaders & Faith Organizations: We invite faith leaders and faith-based organizations across traditions to sign on to a faith letter opposing family separation and incarceration. If you are a faith leader, please click here to sign on. If you represent a faith-based organization, please click here to sign on.

Family incarceration is not a solution to family separation. It is critical our Members of Congress hear from their constituents right now to understand that anti-immigrant proposals like these would harm our families and not stop family separation. Tell your Members of Congress to reject any anti-immigrant, anti-family proposals that expand family incarceration, curtail asylum protections, and undermine protections of children. Click here to be connected to your 2 Senators and 1 Representative.
