The young indigenous and Black voices at COP are telling us it is time to act. We can no longer wait for corporations and governments to do what is right.
We must move beyond inspiration and support their efforts with boldness. Today, we want to give you an opportunity to do just that.

We shared with you a few days ago that the fossil fuel industry has more representatives at COP than any country does.
Not only that, but long lines and barriers to entry have denied a voice to the very people affected most by fossil fuel destruction, while the rich and powerful continue to hoard power and influence.
We’re supporting this treaty to let governments and corporations know that people of faith are out of patience for such hypocrisy.
Climate change poses an existential threat to countries including Pacific Island states, countries such as Bangladesh, and other nations that simply cannot afford the complacency and foot-dragging of international progress, or lack thereof, on climate change.
Friends, we face enormous dangers ahead and major governments are simply not taking the situation seriously.
This call for an end to fossil fuels is morally on-target and as urgent as it gets.
