Senate Votes to Bring Resolution to End US Support of War in Yemen to the Floor

From the Coalition for Peace Action (http://www.peacecoalition.org/):

On November 28, the Senate voted 63-37 to bring to the floor a resolution to stop US support of the Saudi-led war in Yemen, which so far has caused over 85,000 children to starve to death with 14 million Yemenis now on the verge of starvation.

Just last March, this effort had gotten only 44 votes, and was tabled. CFPA mobilized strongly, especially targeting Senators Menendez and Toomey in our region, as they had voted against the bill last March. Both changed to Yes votes this time!

Thanks to everyone who sent emails, made phone calls, or supported this effort in any way! There are still more steps ahead for Congress to counter the administration’s shameful alliance with the brutal Saudi leadership.
