From the National Religious Campaign Against Torture (http://www.nrcat.org):

Starring Adam Driver, Annette Bening, and Jon Hamm, The Report is an important new film that tells the story of U.S. Senate staffer Dan Jones leading an investigation into the Bush-Cheney era CIA torture program. As Jones uncovers the truth – that the U.S. government’s post-9/11 torture program was brutal, immoral and ineffective – the CIA works to prevent his findings from ever being made public.

Slated for a limited theatrical release by Amazon Studios on November 15 and premiering on Amazon Prime on November 29, the film presents a powerful new educational opportunity for religious leaders to get our voice out to support transparency and oppose torture.

It is not too early for your church, mosque, synagogue, temple, gurdwara, or community center to schedule a showing of The Report after it is released on Amazon Prime.  If you have a spring 2020 film series, please consider slotting it in.  NRCAT will provide you with a study guide that has suggestions for individual and congregational follow-up.

NRCAT is also building an action list of faith leaders like yourself who can write an op-ed, a letter to the editor, or promote the film in religious publications or on your blog.

To sign up to schedule a showing, write an op-ed or take an action step, or to get more information, please complete this brief form or contact Kristin Schol at NRCAT at 202-853-9012 or kschol@nrcat.org.
