Rundown on Pennsylvania’s New Health Insurance Rates

From the Pennsylvania Health Access Network (http://www.pahealthaccess.org):

As expected, Pennsylvania’s new insurance rates are out, and they’ve increased significantly – by 30.6% on average. This is a direct result of the actions taken by the Trump administration to sabotage the ACA, including last week’s executive orders.

There is some good news, however.  For folks using the individual marketplace, financial help is still available, and only silver-level plans will see the full rate hikes. Here’s a rundown on why the rate increase might not be as bad as it sounds for many people, and here are our talking points about the new rates.  Here’s a link to a shareable infographic on why folks shouldn’t panic.
