Tell PA Legislators to Remove Budget Language Banning Nonprofit Funding for Election Administration

From the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center (https://krc-pbpc.org/):

It appears that a proposal to ban counties from getting nonprofit grant funding for administering our elections has been added to the budget. The proposal also gives counties new and burdensome reporting responsibilities.

We need your help to stop this proposal! Take action at https://actionnetwork.org/letters/stop-the-ban-on-funding-for-elections.

Elections are a state function and counties here, like in other states, should receive state-provided funds to ensure that elections are run effectively and fairly. They wouldn’t need nonprofit funding if our state government were doing its job.

And finally, this proposal is one more effort on the part of Republican state legislators to cast doubt on the integrity of the 2020 election. It’s time for this nonsense to stop.

Thank you for taking action on this issue, and for being engaged advocates during this key budget season!
