Real Federal Prison Reform Introduced

From Families Against Mandatory Minimums (http://famm.org/):

This week we also welcomed the introduction of the Prison Reform and Redemption Act in the U.S. House of Representatives by Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). This bill expands meaningful education and vocational programs in prisons and provides incentives to prisoners who complete the relevant programming. The bill would also improve the Bureau of Prisons’ compassionate release program, a FAMM priority. While not perfect, the Prison Reform and Redemption Act supports a lot of the recommendations made in our prison reform report. We plan to work with both congressmen to improve and then pass this good bill.
