Demand Protection of Communities from Cancer-Causing Chemicals

posted in: Environment, Uncategorized | 0

Millions of people across the country are drinking contaminated water, breathing contaminated air, or eating poisonous food, and it’s killing us. In the Alliance for Appalachia, we know this all too well by way of extreme coal mining and the impacts of the greed and negligence of the fossil fuel industry across the region. And yet, there are laws in place that are supposed to protect us. There are government agencies that are supposed to enforce and regulate those laws.

A group of advocates from across the country have organized as “Scientists, Activists, and Families for a SAFE Environment.” They’re demanding accountability for environmental contamination that has sickened our children, families, wildlife and the environment.

Join us in demanding Congress, President Biden, and EPA Administrator Michael Regan protect our communities from cancer-causing chemicals at https://act.rootsaction.org/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=14692.
