Prevent Denials for Entry to US Based Solely on Religion

From Americans United for Separation of Church and State (http://www.au.org):

Last week, we all watched Khzir Khan speak eloquently against this notion, invoking core American values and fundamental constitutional guarantees. We know that such an unjust, discriminatory, and anti-Muslim policy is wrong.  There’s something you can do about it: Urge your Member of Congress to co-sponsor the Freedom of Religion (FOR) Act at http://cqrcengage.com/au/app/onestep-write-a-letter?4&engagementId=234113.

Led by Rep. Don Beyer, a bipartisan group of more than 100 Members of Congress has introduced the FOR Act, which would ensure that immigrants, refugees and international travelers will not be denied entry to the U.S. solely because of their religion, or lack of religion.

The FOR Act sets the record straight: religious freedom means that no one group—Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, non-believers, or others—will be singled out unfairly. There should be no religious litmus test for entering the U.S.

Speak up now!  Urge your Representative to co-sponsor the FOR Act or thank your Representative if he or she already has.
