From Interfaith Power and Light (http://interfaithpowerandlight.org):

Each year, congregations and individuals are invited to take an advocacy action to care for the Earth as part of Faith Climate Action Week activities. In this important election year, the Faith Climate Action Week postcards and the online petition invite you to pledge to vote with the climate in mind.

Sign the pledge here.

This is what the pledge says: “I pledge to protect Creation and to ensure that everyone is cared for. I pledge to be a Faith Climate Justice Voter and to care for every living creature and every community suffering the impacts of our changing climate – from extreme heat, to wildfires, to devastating droughts, to flooding, to more frequent and supercharged storms. By pleading to be a consistent voter and to vote with climate justice in mind, I am communicating my values of caring for our common home and protecting our children’s future.”

You can also download a petition to gather pledges from others here.

The theme of 2022’s Faith Climate Action Week is “Sacred Trust: Our children’s right to a livable future.” We are examining our responsibility to safeguard our Earth for future generations, and how our faiths call us to respond with bold and just solutions to climate change. One way we can exercise our responsibility is to vote for our children’s future with the climate in mind.

As people of faith and conscience, our values call us to ensure that everyone is cared for and to be good stewards of God’s Creation. Climate change is destroying our common home, harming our communities, and putting future generations at risk.

Make your voice heard and join with other people of faith and conscience in pledging to vote your values and make a difference.

Voting is about the values shaping our future. Together, we can protect our climate and create a better world for our children and grandchildren.
