Sign Petition to Stop Drilling on the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

From the Arctic Refuge Defense Campaign (https://www.arcticrefugedefense.org/):

The administration finalized the plans to lease areas of the sacred coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. And they picked the most destructive drilling option possible, attempting to lease the entire 1.56 million acres of the coastal plain.

Sign the petition to oppose this decision at https://www.arcticrefugedefense.org/act/take-action.

In addition to our own announcements, you may have already seen of our great partners speak out on this appalling news, which has made headlines nationwide. The collective efforts of these groups and Alaska Wilderness League, working in partnership to advance the Arctic Refuge Defense Campaign has helped garner incredible public exposure for this issue. To join this collaborative effort, please sign our petition of solidarity against Arctic Refuge drilling.

Demand long-term protection of the Arctic Refuge.

We will use this petition to target not just administration officials, but also corporations who think they can drill in the Arctic Refuge and leave their reputation intact. Any corporation who chooses to drill in the Arctic Refuge will not only face disastrous financial backlash, but a tarnished reputation forever.

We will continue to fight back. Sign the petition to stand with Arctic Refuge protectors. The Arctic is warming at twice the rate as the rest of the country. Intact ecosystems like the Arctic Refuge should not be turned into an oil field. If allowed to develop the Arctic Refuge, the lifetime project carbon emissions are equivalent to the annual emissions of more than 13 million passenger vehicles.

We cannot allow Big Oil to destroy yet another wild landscape – one that Indigenous people, millions of wildlife and our climate depends on. Take a stand with all of us who reject Arctic Refuge drilling by signing the petition today.
