Tell PA Legislators to Move PA to a 100% Renewable Energy Future

From PennEnvironment (http://www.pennenvironment.org):

A few weeks ago, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down a decision to limit the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) authority to tackle climate pollution from dirty power plants.1

This setback at the federal level makes it more crucial than ever that Pennsylvania officials take immediate steps to reduce climate pollution in the Keystone State.

Ask your state legislators to support policies to rein in global warming pollution and move Pennsylvania to a 100% renewable energy future today at https://pennenvironment.webaction.org/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=50852!

The stakes are incredibly high: climate change is already leading to more extreme weather events, the spread of exotic viruses and diseases, and health threats like increased cases of asthma and other respiratory ailments.

The good news is that we have the tools to rein in climate change at our fingertips: study after study have shown that we have the technological know-how to convert Pennsylvania’s — and the nation’s — energy production from climate polluting energy to 100 percent clean sources.

With the recent U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to hamstring the EPA, it’s critical that Pennsylvania’s elected officials follow the recommendations of the global scientific community, and transition us off of fossil fuels and onto clean, renewable energy sources by 2050.

Call on state officials to lead the charge for a clean energy future powered with 100% clean, renewable energy.

We can’t sit back while the Supreme Court stands in the way of climate progress. Given the new hurdles put in place for federal solutions, leadership from states like Pennsylvania will be more crucial than ever.

Thank you for taking action.
