The State Office of the League of Women Voters every year offers a contest to high school students. All PS high school students are invited to participate by creating a 30 second video on the subject Every Election Matters. Local elections impact important issues like school funding, policing, affordable housing, transportation, parks and trails. Just a handful of votes can shape off-year election outcomes. The purpose of the video is to encourage participation in every election, in every year. Top prize is $1000. Deadline for submission is March 1, 2017.
