Tell the Senate to Keep the Electric Vehicle Tax Credit in Build Back Better

From ReImagine Appalachia (https://reimagineappalachia.org/):

One of the more controversial aspects of the Build Back Better Act has been the Electric Vehicle tax credit. ReImagine Appalachia wants to see our region at the forefront of these new manufacturing jobs – and we want to make sure they are good union jobs. We see this tax credit as a win-win for the region.

The updated EV consumer tax credit was passed through the House as part of the Build Back Better Act – but we need to make sure it survives in the Senate version of this bill.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are coming, and our global competitors are rushing to capture the economic, jobs, and manufacturing benefits of this shift. If Congress doesn’t take action, we’ll fall behind in deploying the automotive technologies of the future, and our. workers and communities won’t see gains from the transition to EVs.

We’re partnering with Blue Green Alliance to tell our Senators to support good jobs building up electric vehicle manufacturing – and vote to build back better. Can you take action today?

The EV Tax Credit includes both phased-in domestic manufacturing requirements and collective bargaining bonus. These two aspects will be a key part of meeting climate goals and a major element of building a more prosperous and just economy.

Take action today at https://www.bluegreenalliance.org/site/building-an-ev-future-for-america-by-america/ to tell the Senate to keep the EV Tax Credit in Build Back Better.
