It’s Time to #EndAIDS

From ONE (http://www.one.org):

With World AIDS day just days away, we thank you for partnering with us to #endAIDS.

Our hope is that we are moved with compassion to act on behalf of the 36.9 million people living with HIV; 1.8 million people newly infected with HIV, and 15 million people with HIV who still cannot get the life-saving treatment they need.

As we continue to protect funding for the Global Fund there are three benchmarks we’re looking to achieve.

  • First, the President needs to propose a budget for 2020 that includes full funding for the Global Fund.
  • Second, we need to make sure Congress does its part and appropriates enough money for the Global Fund. This is where we need your letters.
  • And third, we need to make sure the President makes a strong pledge at the Global Fund Replenishment in October 2019.

AIDS is still a crisis. And we need our leaders to maintain the fight against AIDS to build on the incredible progress we’ve made. Instead of cutting our investment in the Global Fund, it is essential that we make sure the program gets the funding it needs.

We are thankful for your support and look forward to continuing to build on your success.

The PEPFAR Has Been Reauthorized!

Just this week, in advance of World AIDS Day, the Senate passed and the President signed a bill renewing PEPFAR’s five-year authorization. If you’re in touch with your Senator or their offices, please let them know you’re grateful for their action to continue our country’s historic commitment to ending AIDS.
