Urge Congress to Hold Administration Accountable to Evacuate Afghans Who Risked Their Lives to Help the US

From Church World Service (http://www.churchworldservice.org):

As the United States prepares to withdraw its military from Afghanistan, and as attacks against Afghan nationals who cooperated with the U.S. military rise exponentially, the administration must urgently evacuate Afghan allies, and their loved ones, who assisted the U.S. mission. There are roughly 18,000 Afghans, along with over 50,000 loved ones, currently being processed for an Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) who have faithfully served and defended American soldiers during times of war and who have already been waiting for years for our nation to fulfill its promises to protect them.

The United States has a moral duty to protect those who have protected us. Afghan allies who supported the U.S. mission and their loved ones should be urgently evacuated to safety. Now is a critical time to call on Congress and the administration to save our Afghan allies and protect our national honor as we prepare to depart a country for which so many sacrificed so much.

Here are top ways to take action TODAY:

Contact your Members of Congress: Go to https://cwsglobal.org/action-alerts/take-action-urge-congress-the-administration-to-evacuate-and-protect-our-afghan-allies/ to urge your Members of Congress to hold the administration accountable to evacuate the 18,000 Afghans, and their loved ones, who risked their lives to serve the U.S. mission to U.S. territory like Guam.
