From the Detention Watch Network (https://www.detentionwatchnetwork.org/):

Today, Detention Watch Network (DWN) and communities across the country are joining together to kick off the #FreeThemAll National Week of Digital Action, March 30 – April 4, to demand the liberation of all people in immigration detention! This week we will send an email every morning detailing the day’s targets, demands, and actions.

Day 1 – Monday, March 30: Demand Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) #FreeThemAll!

Over 3,000 doctors and nearly 800 advocates have been sounding the alarm for weeks that people in immigration detention are sitting ducks in a system notorious for its fatally flawed medical care and abysmal conditions that only worsen in times of crisis. The rapid spread of mumps that occurred last year alone foretells what could happen when people inside ICE custody are exposed to COVID-19. ICE has the discretion to immediately release people in their custody.

Overview of today’s day of action and how you can support:

Targets: ICE Field Office Directors

Demands: Immediately release all people in immigration detention and cease all immigration enforcement and removal operations

Actions:

  1. Read DWN’s social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and follow steps from each local campaign’s call to action targeting ICE Field Office Directors including actions from Organized Communities Against Deportations(OCAD) in Chicago, IL, Grassroots Leadership in Austin, TX, Shut Down Etowah in Etowah, AL, Inland Coalition for Immigrant Justice (ICIJ) in the Inland Empire, CA, La Resistencia in Tacoma, WA and the California Immigrant Youth Justice Alliance (CIYJA) in CA.
  2.  Amplify each local campaign’s call to action from your own social media platforms and use #FreeThemAll. Find sample posts in our Action Guide.
  3. Tune into DWN’s Facebook Live discussion with OCAD and Centro de Trabajadores Unidos at 2:00 pm EST/1:00 pm CST/11:00am PST on their local efforts targeting their ICE Field Director, recent wins and the continuous fight to #FreeThemAll.
  4. Follow Organized Communities Against Deportations (OCAD) on social media and send an email to the Chicago ICE Field Office Director, Robert Guadian.
